Vintage Large Chinese Soapstone Hand Carved Floral and Bird Vase

Description

Stunning antique soapstone bud vase flower decoration. Intricately carved out of a smoky, matte Chinese soapstone.

This late 19th century Chinese soapstone vase of flat-back waisted design, with a flared rim. Beautifully decorated to the front with a high-relief flower branch and bird. The vase and the stand are attached and one solid piece. The vase is made very skillfully.

Approximate Dimensions: 8” Wide x 6” Deep x 16” High

Approximate Weight: 14 lbs.

Vase has some minor imperfections (scratch in rear) and chip in bottom front. This still makes for an absolute stunning display piece as shown in the pictures.
