Ensure you make a small schematic (or take a picture) of how your black switch is currently installed so that you can reconnect the wire to the proper lug on this new black switch. You cant just simply plug the wires into random connectors on switch.

Black shop vac switch with 4 terminal lugs (As shown in the pictures) with the LARGE GREEN/RED or RED/RED PUSH BUTTON "SWITCH" on your shopvac.  My personal vacuum is from Lowes about 10 or 12 yrs ago if I had to guess.  See pictures.

On some Shopvac models they do not even list the switch as a separate item you can purchase! As an example of not listing it as a separate part see #12 in picture. You cannot simply purchase the switch because there is no part number assigned, they want you to buy the entire $80.00 motor assembly!! How short-sighted is that???

Direct replacement for switches with Black Rocker switch with the "slots" cut in the top rocker of the switch. Check dimensions in the pictures to ensure that your current switch meets the dimensions shown in the pictures.
