This listing is for a nice early 20th century Mt. Washington, or Wave Crest white opaline glass dresser box that is hand painted and accented with gilt brass fitting. The piece measures 4 1/4 inches or 10.7 cm high and is 7 1/4 inches or 18.4 cm in diameter.
The dresser box features a round molded shape with raised ribbing along the edges that create the four supporting feet on the bottom. The box is hand painted on the cover with small pink and white cherry blossom flowers on branches that cross eachother in a delicate manor. The glass is mounted with gilt brass and hinged at the back, the interior of the box is lined with a light blue satin.
The condition overall is very good, there is some wear to the hand painted detailed on the cover and darkening to the gilt mounts. Please see the many photographs for more on the look and condition, as they are an important part of the description.
