From bandleader to pop singer, Bobby Vinton scored a number one in the USA with his debut single "Roses Are Red" resulting in an album release 'Roses are Red and Other Songs for the Young And Sentimental' which peaked at #5 in the LP charts. On the LP was the track "Mr. Lonely" which when released as a single 2 years later, also went to No. 1. Vinton's follow-up album 'The Big Ones' contained the Top 20 single "Rain Rain Go Away". This twofer CD release features both albums with additional bonus hit singles "Trouble Is My Middle Name" and "Let's Kiss and Make Up". Digitally re-mastered.
