Antique Bronze Ethiopian Wedding Ring Omoro tribal jewelry ~500 years old.

Very beautiful bronze Oromo wedding ring with exceptional wear and patina. Decorated with eyes that have been worn down over time to near non-existence. Wear had lended this bronze ring to near fluid form over time. Some scratching on the surface shows the original bronze color, but otherwise demonstrates exceptional patina from centuries. The Oromo have lived in Ethiopia for over 7,000 years with their traditions. These rings are traditionally worn with a thong and the wear from that is visible.

Approximate age based on the visual wear is 300-500 years.

Ring is 25 mm in diameter.

A beautiful and remarkably old piece. For some individuals, this is a rare Ethiopian ring that can be worn as a Western style finger ring if desired with an opening of approximately 18 mm (sorry I do not have a ring sizer, but it fits my ring fingers).

Thanks for looking!
