This is a wonderful Old Woven Bush Fiber Dream Spirit Pig from the Sepik River, Papua New Guinea.  Dream Vehicles are woven by women from natural materials and hand spun string. Decorated with shell eyes and natural pigments.  They are kept in the rafters for the spirit to travel in while one sleeps.  They are very strong and can thrash their way through the thickest bush, so if someone had to make a journey through the jungle. They are made by the women and are used to teach clan stories and aid clan members through dreams and requests.
