It comprises three x 15-piece puzzles, each on a 1950s transport theme.

Each puzzle measures 9.75 inches x 7.5 inches (24.75 cm x 19 cm)
The three puzzles can be stored in their assembled state within the overall box.

The puzzles are:
(a) British Railways (ex LM.S.) diesel-electric Locomotive No. 10001 in black and silver livery, at speed, emerging from a tunnel in a hilly landscape. The first coach of the train is visible, being in the attractive early-1950s livery of 'carmine-and-cream'.

This locomotive and its 'sister' No. 10000 were Britain's first diesel main-line locomotives, and a replica is currently under construction, the originals having been unthinkingly broken-up. 

(b) Luxury Coach travel, depicting a 'modern' 1950s-style streamlined motor coach, with non-bonneted flat front, in duo-tone blue-mauve, with 'speed whiskers' on the front panel and 'speed stripes' along the side.  The coach is depicted in a rural landscape but gives the impression of speed, so could be interpreted as being on one of Britain's then-new motorways of the 1960s, but no other traffic is depicted.

(c) Heavy-duty 4-axle ('8-wheeler') rigid-frame Delivery Van, in overall red, bearing the insignia 'Unique Transport'. The design is of 'forward-control' type without protruding bonnet, and with engine-in-cab. There is a driver and mate in the cab. The make of vehicle is unspecified, but could be Thornycroft or Dennis.

The surroundings are rural and there is no other traffic depicted.

The puzzle should appeal to collectors of Spear's products, junior or senior transport enthusiasts and particularly those railway enthusiasts of the original and rebuilt Ivatt diesel.
