Offered for your consideration is an extremely rare, figural Sitzendorf  porcelain compote with reticulated basket. This near museum quality antique was produced by the Sitzendorf Royal Berlin Porcelain Manufactory, circa 1763 - 1820 .The piece features a female modeled figure petting a lamb with hand painted flowers and flowing drapery, supporting a reticulated flower-encrusted basket. The main figure is accompanied by a docile lamb on a flowering tree stump base, raised on a circular plinth painted with garlands and ribbon. The base bears the coveted under glaze blue "H" mark.  Pictures are part of the description and the piece pictured is the exact item you will receive.
