Vintage Primative Folk Art Painting Plank, (possible Pennsylvania Dutch kit) 6x12"
As late as the 1950's and 1960's, Painting Planks sold in and around the Pennsylvania Dutch communities, were similar to a coloring book page. a scene is drawn or painted in outlines only on a thin plank of wood, and sold with a powder paint to be mixed with water or a thin oil like linseed, and sometimes an egg yolk. it is a folk art take on paint by numbers without the numbers. customers bought the plank and sometime also the paint and painted the heavily lined scene themselves.
Clean, no flaking or discoloration. Excellent for it's age.
