 Dated 1960 Western Electric 404A 5847 PENTODE Vacuum Tubes Made in the USA

with two new Westinghouse 9pin blue and white boxes.

- 2x Yellow ink hot stamped "60 13" April 1960 (Yellow print on glass "Western Electric 404A" "60 13")

- 100% Yellow ink on Glass visible

- Top side Square Boxed Goal Post Getter, top side flashing

- Western Electric 404A / 5847 9-pin  Pentode vacuum tube (Vf : 6.3V,  If : 0.30Amperes)

- The Western Electric 404A / 5847 / V3905 is a  UHF Pentode featuring Low-Noise, very high transconductance

with low interelectrode capacitance with lateral wire frame grid.

Our Test set : Dan Nelson recently  (9/16/2021) Upgraded, Enhanced and Calibrated Mil-Spec TV7 with Digital Meter reading 

Transconductance (Gm) and Anode Plate Current Dissipation in mA (important for Power Output vacuum tubes).

 

A Weco 404A  tube TV7 Minimum good the Meter will read = 30 = 4,600 uMhos Gm = Transconductance

"Bogey" = Factory NOS published specification("spec") when new as seen in the Data sheet in the last pics.

Typical Operating Specs running in Class A1 at Plate Supply Voltage :

  NOS when tested at  Plate Voltage 150V : 13,000 uMhos (Gm) @ 11.5 mA Anode Plate Current )

 

Note: all TV7 version test tubes at a maximum plate supply voltage of 150V.

TV7 Test results : NO Shorts, No Gas or NO Leakage, No Microphonics Detected

Tube 1: (dated "60  13") : 44.9 @  8.7mA =  5,622 uMhos Transconductance (Gm)

  

Tube 2: (dated "60 13") :  45.3 @  8.9mA = 5,632 uMhos Transconductance (Gm)

 

Condition: Used Pulls 2x Weco 404A / 5842 with new westinghouse Boxes, Clean Pins and Glass, 100% Yellow WECO silk screening on base.

We have cleaned the glass and pins of dust and oxidation and sprayed electrical QDC quick dry contact cleaner.

Plug in and Play Condition.

Boxes on the non inked side of box  are marked 1.)  & 2.) , will print test result on sides of boxes.
