Vintage White & Brown Womens XL Genuine Rabbit Fur Winter Coat w/ American Story. This coat is from the Chicago, IL, area estate of June Wiese and it has a sweet American Dream story to it. It was one of two rabbit fur coats purchased by Loyd Gillett of Kenosha, WI. He had been a Missouri farmer turned Chicago press man and had always wanted to provide his family with nice items; however, he did not have enough funds to buy fur jackets for his two daughters until late career, when he surprised them with the coats. This one belonged to his younger daughter June and she treasured it. The coat is in good shape except for the zipper, which is losing its coating on the pull (see pic). Coat is XL and measures c. 20” left to right across the chest, arms are c. 17” from pit to wrist, c.19” from front collar to bottom of coat, and c. 23” from back of collar to bottom of coat.
