Large vintage oval platter by Warwick China Co., Wheeling WV, USA, has pale pink and blue roses with green foliage on a glossy white background with gold accents and raised pattern at the ends. Measures about 15" wide by 10 7/8" front to back by 1 1/4" high. In wonderful pre-owned condition: No chips, cracks, stains or repairs; gold is intact. There are some utensil marks. Marked on the bottom in brown:   [a helmet]   [crossed swords]  [a banner]   Warwick   Made in U.S.A.  According to Kovels' New Dictionary of Marks, this mark dates to circa 1944.
