Montblanc Details:
The Montblanc 2014 Writers Edition Daniel Defoe Set honors the great writer with a luxurious design inspired by elements from his novel 'Robinson Crusoe'. The form is based on Robinson Crusoe's paddle with which he tried to leave the island by raft.
Inspired by the color and structure of wood (black and brown precious resin with elegant ruthenium-coated details) which represents Crusoe's island life which was reduced to the simplest of things. The intricately decorated clip in the form of a feather is evocative of Crusoe's loyal parrot companion, Poll.
The finials feature the iconic Montblanc snowcap in precious black and white resin. Filigree engravings embellish the rings and are based on the stitching of Robinson's clothing which he had to make after being ship wrecked. The signature of the author is engraved on the cap.
