Eniac (2021 Bad Idea) #1B
Published Mar 2021 by Bad Idea Comics.
Not First Printing variant cover. Story by Matt Kindt. Art by Doug Braithwaite and Diego Rodriguez. Cover by Lewis LaRosa and Laura Martin. Back cover by Matt Kindt. Seventy-seven years ago, the United States unlocked the key to defeating the Axis powers, but, in their desperation to end the war, created a far more powerful threat: ENIAC (Electronic Numerator Integrator and Computer), the worlds first supercomputer. ENIAC's calculations proved vital to turning the tide against Germany and Japan – until it ordered the second atomic bomb to be dropped on Nagasaki without any human order or approval. America had inadvertently created the first artificial intelligence without ever realizing the full extent of its abilities...or its ambitions. For the more than 50 years that followed, ENIAC manipulated global affairs from the shadows, waging a cold war that pitted spy against spy, nation against nation...until it went dark and disappeared from view. Now, years later, an encrypted countdown has just been detected in Earth's satellite network and mankind only has three days left before ENIAC executes its endgame. With few options and even less time, the Secretary of Defense has just given two covert operatives the most important mission in human history: kill ENIAC…before it kills us. 52 pages, PC/PB&W. Cover price $3.99.

We custom manufacture our own packaging because we are yet to find off-the-shelf packaging that meets our high standards.

About our grading:
Brendan is an experienced comic grader who's grading opinion is sought after and respected around the industry. Brendan grades to the industry standard Overstreet Grading Guide and endeavours to keep our grading consistent with what we observe from CGC and CBCS. Grading comics is an art and a science, which is why different people will give the same comic slightly different grades.

GRADING POLICIES:

• Every single-issue comic (not sets or graphic novels) has its grade checked before shipping. Very occasionally Brendan will find a grading error at this stage. In these rare instances, Brendan will contact you in this rare instance to discuss options.
• If unsure on grade for a particular comic, we place the comic at the lower end of the grade range being considered.
• Where we have made a significant error grading a comic, (ie. We gave graded the comic VF 8.0, and it is CLEARLY 6.0) we will happily process a return on that book. For comics where the variation is minor or debatable (ie. We gave graded the comic VF 8.0, and you feel it is 7.5) we do not generally process returns.
• Where actual photos of the comic are used, we encourage you to inspect them and make a decision on grade for yourself.
• I often supply grade notes on a comic, where I will note particular flaws I feel are relevant. These grade notes are rarely exhaustive – I cannot list every flaw.
