Lived in MN for over 50 years and spent a ton of time doing outdoor activities (dad owned a game farm 25,000 mallards almost lived outside for years.
These gloves have the thickest foam insulation I have ever seen/worn.
They would be great for Broom Ball, Non- Hard Contact Hockey, Skiing or Snowboarding, snowmobiling even just walking the dog or running the snow blower. Kept a couple pairs for me and they have kept me warm in -25 below windchills this week. For super cold Thinsulate would be my choice, IE bowhunting and staying perfectly still for hour(s) at -10.
These are not a good fit every day for driving (IMO), being very thick and padded they are not good for adjusting knobs - IE they do not pass the can you adjust the radio with your gloves on test in a cold car.
