4-1/2 INCH LONG MINIATURE VIOLIN THAT IS TUNABLE AND PLAYABLE LIKE IT'S FULL SIZE COUNTERPART.
Made by yours truly in mid 1970s, it was on display in the front foyer of the Ripley's Believe or Not museum
in San Francisco's Fishermens Warf for one week in the summer of 1976.
At the time Ripley's marketing booklet had a picture and description of 5-1/2 Inch "World's Smallest Violin".
I picked up the violin on the way home after visiting L.A. and San Diego. The museum manager told me that they
wanted the violin for their soon opening New York museum and they would have the violin featured in their Ripley's Believe-or-Not books.
I decided to take violin home.
Like real violin, the body and neck are made of hard wood and the  top is softer pine wood.
The pegs, fingerboard and chin rest are made of ebony.

The buyer will receive the following documents with violin:
1. Photo of the violin on display at the Ripley's Believe-It-or-Not Museum.
2. The Museum's marketing booklet that featured 5-1/2" violin.
3. An article about violin and it's maker in the leading daily newspaper The Calgary Herald.
4. Information about interviews on two Canadian Broadcasting Corp. radio programs: As It Happens
    and Variety at Night.
5. Some correspondence to and from The Guinness Book of Records from year 1976 and later,
related to real world's smallest violin at the time.

This is a rare opportunity to acquire a realistic looking and working miniature violin.

Thank you for looking and good luck bidding!
