10 KITS - CONTROL OF TURNOUTS / SIGNALS / FROG POLARITY w/3 BI-COLOR LEDs EACH These kits are very popular! We have sold hundreds of these and have yet to hear a derogatory remark. This is a newer listing of these kits. Now you too you can have under the table positive manual control of your turnouts from as many as several feet away with correct frog polarity, and three bi-color LEDs (two green/red and one green/yellow) corresponding with the direction of your turnout on your layout with this simple KIT. This is all accomplished with a simple pull or push to a double pole double throw (DPDT) polarity reversing electric slide switch mounted under the table. For as little as $8.49 each! If you can solder, you can do this!
This KIT includes:
1. Detailed step by step instructions for wiring, mounting, and controlling the DPDT switches, your turnouts and frogs with detailed drawings for each. If you can solder, you can do this! Any questions will be answered promptly.
2. TEN - DPDT slide switches pre-drilled with two 1/16 in. holes. One for the wire that throws the turnout, and one for the long piece of wire to push and pull the DPDT switch through the fascia.
3. Over 132 ft. of 22 gauge wire in 3 different colors for wiring the DPDT switches, your turnout frogs and the LEDs.
4. 30 resistors of the correct resistance for your setup (12 to 16 volts).
5. 30 bi-color common cathode 3mm LEDs - 20 red/green & 10 yellow/green.
6. TWENTY inches of 1/16 inch thick music wire in 2 inch lengths for throwing your turnouts through the table.
7. 30 signal targets with 3 mm opening. These are available separately if you want more than 30. See our listing!
The KIT does NOT come with glue for mounting the switch under the table. I highly recommend E 6000 Industrial Strength Adhesive or Barge All Purpose Cement available just about anywhere. It does NOT come with a long piece of wire (I use the 1/16th inch thick music wire readily available through Do It Best, Walmart, Hobby Lobby, Hobby Express and Amazon for about $3 for several 3 ft. pieces) to push and pull the DPDT switch to throw your turnout from a remote position through the fascia. It does NOT come with the signal targets shown in the pictures which are available elsewhere . It, of course, does NOT come with any of the track, turnouts or model buildings shown. Please note, this is a KIT! Which means it will require assembly on your part that you will find not only enjoyable but also educational and rewarding!
Since this is electronic equipment no returns are accepted which is standard for the industry for electric switches and other electronics.
QUESTIONS: Is the bracket that holds the slide switch in place included?
Hi, there is no bracket . It's held in place by industrial strength glue. I have over a dozen in place for about 3 1/2 years and they work just fine. Regards, Greg
1) Will these work on a DC layout as well as a DCC?
2) Do you combine shipping? I am thinking of buying 10 to start; Ultimately I may want as many as 30.
