Small annual or biennial hybrid bugloss, adapted to dry land and loving the sun.
Echium Blue Bedder is a hybrid obtained by crossing Echium vulgare and Echium plantagineum, both originating from hot and dry regions of Europe. Forms a dense and compact clump of 30 cm in all directions.
Foliage, dark green, is composed of stems and leaves entirely covered with tiny, rigid and sharp bristles.
The leaves are grouped in a basal rosette, measuring 10 to 15 cm in length.
Flowering takes place from summer to autumn.
This plant reseeds itself abundantly in light and rather dry soil.
Germination 15-18°C, sow 6 mm deep, in Mars April or September.
