A Very rare vintage Shimano of Japan SL-4600 'Sante' Prototype Pre-Release right SIS index braze on Shifter. Based Loosely on 600 this shifter was part of the original group sent to various dealers for demo's on bikes in 1984 and was Pearl White painted with red scripting. As is well known, Sante didn't come out to the general public until 1987 and was shown at Interbike in 1986. If you're lucky enough to have an original Pre-Release group, here's a backup if you need one. In good overall shape with lighter than average wear and missing the hold down screw. Works just fine and someone with a steady hand could repaint the logo back on in bright red! An odd piece of history cycling fans!
