This is made to adapt a Belt-Loop sheath (holster or case) into a Belt-Clip Sheath; WITHOUT permanently modifying the Original Sheath. There are times when a Belt-Clip is useful, rather than a belt-loop sheath. Whether it is because you are wearing track-pants, swim shorts, sweat-pants, or even some cargo pants with their own built-in belts. It may not always be possible to use a belt-loop sheath. This is made to allow you to carry your favorite Leatherman, Gerber, SOG, Swiss Army Knife / Swiss Tool, Multi-tool, knife, or other items using the Original Sheath or case that came with it. Measurements (see measurement picture in Product images for reference):

Inside Section (where the sheath belt-loop fits ): is about 1-1/2in (1.5in) wide. If the belt-loop width is 1.5in or less AND the belt loop is made of a slim material (Nylon/Polyester) it should fit well. If your belt-loops are thicker material (Leather or Kydex) then the width it needs to be about 1-1/4in wide or less to fit nicely into the adapter.

Height: The leather section is approx 1.5in tall. Basically made to match the width of a standard Belt.

The Clip provides a drop of about 1-1/4in (1.25in) lower on you waist. The Sheath you attach will sit about 1.25in lower on your pants.
