Rhubarb is a perennial plant that measures more than 1.50 m high in flower. It has large green leaves.
In the kitchen, the cooked petioles are prepared in jam, compote, filling for pies or crumbles. They also go very well with fish and meat such as pork tenderloin, sautéed in butter and caramelized with honey.
Prefers cool, deep soils. Watering necessary at the beginning of vegetation.

Rhubarb is a vegetable plant and more precisely a stem vegetable. It is anchored in the ground by a very large pivoting and fleshy root with large, thick, green leaves indented at the point of attachment of the petiole and with wavy edges.

The substance secreted by its root is appreciated for its antiseptic action on liver problems. Rhubarb is a good anti-inflammatory for the oral mucous membranes.
