FASHIONED OF A SLIPPERY BROWN SATIN WITH DOLMAN SHORT SLEEVES, SHOULDERS PADDED, WITH PLEATS AT THE TOP AND NECKLINE HIGH IN CENTER FRONT.
CRISS CROSS REAR WITH A TAB AND BUTTON CLOSING WITH SNAP AT THE MID BACK AND THE SIDE IN A PLEAT GATHERING WITH LOOSE FALLING SHORT RUFFLES. METAL ZIPPER CLOSES THE SIDE.
CONDITION: THIS PIECE HAS A VERY PRISTINE APPEARANCE. FLAWS ARE NOT NOTED UNTIL HEAVILY STUDIED. THERE IS A SMALL AREA AT THE BOTTOM OF THE ZIPPER WHERE THE SATIN HAS LOST SHINE AND I SUSPECT IT WAS A STAIN TREATMENT, NOTE DONE BY US, AS IT WAS ACQUIRED.
A SIMILAR SPOT IS JUST ASIDE THE TAB ON THE REAR CLOSURE WITH SEVERAL UNSEEN FINGERTIP DARK SPOTS TO THE SKIRTING THAT ARE UNSEEN THAT IS ALSO A HALF FIST SIZED AREA ON THE BOTTOM EDGE HEM WHICH HAS ALSO LOST ITS SHINE, IS SUSPECT SIMILAR TREATMENT.
NONE THE LESS, A BEAUTIFUL 1940’S DRESS IN A LARGER SIZE.
