Ordinary hen-drinkers quickly get muddy and dirty. The water itself gets dirty. They fall or blow over when they’re low on water. They need frequent topping-up. They never hold enough.

Not the Super-Duper Chicken Drinker. It holds a generous 20 litres of water. It’s perfect for hens, bantams, ducks or game birds. It has a tight-fitting lid, so the water stays fresh and clean. The drinker cups hold enough to satisfy a thirsty bird, but not so much they fill with mud and dirt. Because they’re small, they’re easy to clean with a quick splash of water while you fill the tank.

The unique graphics on the drinker attract your birds, and bring natural colour and freshness – especially helpful if your birds are housed.

The tank always keeps some water in the bottom. So any dirt or particles sink below the level of the tubes that fill the cup, and clean water is guaranteed. The water in the base of the tank ensures that the bucket stays upright. It won’t blow or fall over. Flush it out whenever you fill the tank, to guarantee clear clean fresh water for your birds.

The tank has a covered breather hole. It allows free flow of water, keeps dust, dirt and insects out.

The Super-Duper Chicken Drinker comes with two or four drinking cups, to suit the number of birds you have.

Choose the Automatic version for a truly simple life!

The Automatic Super Duper Chicken Drinker simply connects to a water supply via a garden hose. Connect it to a garden or yard tap, open the water supply, and your Super Duper Chicken Drinker always maintains a constant level, never runs out of water! No worries about remembering to top it up, and a reduced workload routine in the hen run or henhouse. And complete peace of mind if you’re busy or away for a few days. With the self full-filling Chicken Drinker, your birds will always have all the water they need.

The lid of the tank clicks on for a tight seal. The optional handy lid-remover makes easy work of opening the Drinker. Just hook the edge of the lid, lift, slide around the top, and off it comes. No sore fingertips, no lid-peeling struggle. The handle even comes with a lanyard, so you can keep it with the tank, without fear of forgetting where you left it.

Buy two – one for the hen-run, one inside the henhouse!

Help protect your birds from avian ‘flu

Avian ‘flu can be transmitted between birds via secretions from their eyes, mouths and nostrils. Wild birds can pass the virus into poultry drinking water, thus infecting your flock. The  UK is still under Avian Influenza Prevention measures. Drinker cups that hold standing water can be an invitation to infected wild birds.  Trickle-fed cups, such as those on a Super-Duper Chicken Drinker minimise the risk of your hens drinking infected water.

Tough, long-lasting, easy to move

The Super-Duper Chicken Drinker is immensely strong, and has a high-strength collar, meaning it keeps its shape when you carry or suspend it. The handle is tough, durable plastic with a generous grip, to allow you carry it in comfort. You’ll need to open up and check or clean the inside of your drinker now and again. The optional opening tool makes quick and easy work of removing the click-on lid.

Proven design

The cups in your Super-Duper Chicken Drinker use the well-known yellow toggle valves. They’re tried, tested and proven in literally millions of applications, indoors and outdoors, over many years, all over the world. They have just one moving part, which can’t jam or clog with dirt. Your birds will work out how to work them in a matter of hours.

 Toggle Valve or Float Valve?

A toggle valve drinker provides water whenever a bird nudges the yellow toggle (they learn quickly). Water is only supplied on demand. There's no pool of stale water in the cup, which means minimum waste, maximum hygiene. With no standing water in them, they offer maximum protection from contamination by wild birds infected with avian 'flu. The toggle valve system is tried and tested in literally millions of applications around the world, in small and large scale poultry units.

A float valve drinker works like a miniature drinking trough. It keeps a small quantity of water in the cup. Water is visibly available at all times, while free surface area of water is kept low for good hygiene.

If you think you'd like a Float Valve drinker, see our other products.

Spring-hinged drinkers tilt upwards when they're empty, to let water flow in. They soon fill with dirt and run dry, or stick in the 'on' position, creating puddles and wasting precious water. We don't offer them!

Why don’t we sell black drinkers?

The more times black plastic has been recycled, the less suitable it us for food use. That means  certified food grade black plastic is expensive.  All black polyproplylene contains carbon-black as a pigment, and the more recycled it’s been, the more stuff that’s in it.  And over time, the toxic chemicals can leach out of the plastic, into the container’s contents.

Black plastic may slow the growth of harmless algae, but it doesn’t keep bacteria out. It just encourages bacteria that don’t like light. And in spring and summer, black plastic containers absorb heat many times more than white containers (which reflect heat). The warmer water in black containers encourages the growth of microbes and bacteria. With avian ‘flu a resurgent worry, we stick with white containers for greatest peace of mind. And they’re much easier to keep clean, too.

When your order, please check you’re specifying the right model – 2 cups or 4 cups, manual filling or automatic.
