Apollinaris (German Mineral Water) Ceramic Match Striker. Apollinaris is a naturally sparkling mineral water from a spring in Bad Neuenahr Germany which was discovered in 1852. It became the leading table water of its time until about the 1940's. The match striker most likely dates back to the 1930's.

A beautiful piece of early - mid century advertising with a glossy white glass and a deep blue banding. Includes a round compartment for holding matches or cigarettes and a ribbed outer for striking your match. 

Is in great condition. Has one small mark on the o in the word Apollinaris on the top of the striker (please refer to last photo). Has some light ware to the base as shown in the photo.

Measure 93mm wide and 70mm high
