Prominent Soviet lens Helios-44 58mm f2 with an M39 SLR screw mount, based on the famous Biotar 58mm.
It can be used with M39 to M42 step up ring and M42 adapters but not with M39 adapters for rangefinder cameras.

The very early version with 13 aperture blades, red "P" and the focusing distance in centimeters, not milimeters.
3 zeroes in the beginning, the serial number is 0009015 - the smallest I`ve ever seen.
The name on the box is "HK-44" (Helios Krasnogorsk?), not "H-44" like later.
The body is not simple white, the focusing ring covered with "gold" varnish (partly worn out), like early Jupiter-9 M39.
Really collectable lens!

The lens is in mint working condition with light signs of use on the body (see photos for details). The optics are clear, without damage, fungus etc. Some usual for old lenses dust inside, There are several tiny air bubbles and 1 more large, allowed by those times standards that can not affect image quality. The focusing is working well. The body is clean. The aperture blades are free of oil.

Comes in a genuine case with genuine caps.
I tested this Helios-44 lens with a Canon DSLR camera and it worked as should.
The lens fits modern cameras using a special adapter.

49mm filter
13 aperture blades
Aperture range 2-16
