This auction is for one CGC graded comic book. A Barnes & Noble Exclusive Limited Edition of Grimm Fairy Tales number 58 from April of 2011 in 9.2 NM- with White pages. My photo`s don`t do the blue color of Sela`s blouse justice. In person the color really pops! Leave it to the guys at Zenescope to put some artwork on the back cover that rivals the front! Not listed in the 53rd Edition Overstreet so the fact that it was limited to 500 copies will have to speak as to its relative value, and (even though I know we are not buying slabs... we are buying comic books) the CGC grading and encapsulating along with their shipping and handling fees would run you over thirty bucks. I have set the minimum bid at five times the regular issue guide value of three dollars plus twenty dollars for the CGC grading, which, along with the eighteen dollars in shipping is, in my opinion, quite reasonable. Compare it to what other sellers are asking. This is a CGC certified grade, so you know what you`re getting. I may have a different opinion of the grade of a book than the CGC, but they ARE the recognized grading standard these days, and these differences usually are on older books. No returns on CGC graded books.
They are what they are. The plastic case and label are the old style from a few years back. About an inch of the top edge label is pulled away at one end(visible in photo`s). The case is in great shape, with a couple of light scratches and tiny scuffs, but
really no noteworthy defects. If it were perfect, then I would charge twenty-five for the grading. This book will ship
securely packaged in a box, NOT AN ENVELOPE. It will be individually
bagged, but you will most likely want to put a new bag on it, since the
one it is now in is for protection, not looks. It ships fully insured, so a SIGNATURE MAY BE REQUIRED.
IMPORTANT NOTE ON SHIPPING: This CGC graded book will ship Priority(UNLESS your zip code begins with a 7, 8, or 9, in which case it will likely ship PARCEL POST.) for a total shipping cost of
$18.00. If it ends up costing less than
$18.00 by more than a full dollar, then I will send a partial refund to
make sure you are only paying actual shipping costs.
NO RETURNS: Almost all of the comics I list have been bought as back
issues by me. I have know knowledge of where they have been prior to
being in my home. They have been in a smoke free environment since I
bought them. Be sure before you bid. Items are sold "AS IS" and all
sales are final. No returns allowed unless I have grossly misrepresented
the items(which I have not). Recently I have been putting most of my
effort into collecting melmac, mainly off of EBAY, but close to half of
my feedback rating is from my former hobby of collecting and selling
comic books, and I apply the same standards to all of my listings. Bid
with confidence.
SHIPPING and HANDLING: Although many of my comic book listings for un-graded, or RAW books ship for FREE, these CGC auctions will have a shipping fee for PRIORITY shipping attached, and they are shipped fully insured, so a signature may well be required for receipt... Although I do offer combined shipping, I will not combine shipping for COMIC BOOK AUCTIONS or with shipping for MELMAC AUCTIONS. CGC Books ship Priority(unless ZIP CODE...). Raw books ship MEDIA MAIL, which is the most economical way to ship these, so that is how they will likely ship, with tracking included. While this method is the cheapest it is also the slowest. Items COULD take ten days or so to arrive. Melmac ships at the Parcel Postage rate, unless Priority is the same cost(which it sometimes is...).
COMBINED SHIPPING FOR CGC BOOKS: Pay full amount of shipping on each auction won. Discounts for combined shipping will be handled as a REFUND to give back over-payment to reflect actual shipping costs. Additional shipping will not exceed more than half of full shipping amount for each additional item.
