Superb Vintage Silver Plate Wine Bottle Holder. Beautiful silver plate bottle holder in the form of a snake. (please see pics.) Beautiful & striking stylised serpent form, with fantastic hand beaten detailing to the surface replicating the texture of snakeskin. Wonderful design to the head of the snake. (please see pics.) Plaited leather has then been worked down the back, to give the impression of the pattern found on the scales, as well as to provide grip when in use. It is a really fantastic piece of design. (please see pics.) The neck of the bottle sits in between the forked tongue, ready to be poured. (please see video.) A fantastic quality bottle holder, of superb design, that would be very striking when displayed or used.
