This auction is for a genuine Ferrari Spare Parts book with all the relevant exploded diagrams for the 365GTC4 model of 1971, updated with an additional large number of pages for modifications from October 1972.

The GTC4 had originally been shown at the Geneva Motor Show in early 1971 and during the production years of ’71 and ’72 the total factory output is stated to have been exactly 500 cars in all markets.

It was based on the same chassis as the Ferrari “Daytona” 365GTB/4 and shared some other mechanicals, to such an extent that many refer to it as the 365GTC/4 instead of the original factory designation of GTC4. The rear seats were extremely small and the configuration was only made user friendly by its successor, the 365GT4/2+2.

The parts book, measuring 24cm x 16.5cm, covers all the mechanicals from engine to carburettors, gearbox to ignition, and all the suspension, air conditioning, brakes and much more. All of the main text is in Italian only, but the brief introduction and index of the diagram pages is additionally in French and English.

The book starts with over 50 pages of diagrams and text (those dated Ottobre 1972) dealing with mechanical updates relating to cars with ‘Air Pollution System” (including RHD cars) as well as the Pollution Control system itself.

Following this, the main section (dated 10/1971) has its own introduction plus 45 numbered pages of diagrams, with each diagram accompanied by an information page (or sometimes two) of the part numbers and, where applicable, technical sizes/measurements.

Finally there are 3 diagram pages numbered 46-48 (with matching text pages) dealing with the pedal control variants for cars in Right Hand Drive. There is a total of 158 inner pages.

The factory catalogue number on the reverse of the main section’s final page is printed as n.59/71.

The inner pages and cover are held together, using the favoured technique at this time, by brass screws and internally threaded bolts, through the hole-punched sheets.

This VERY RARE, more than 50 years old and owner-unused, book is in good condition, but with some scuffing and creasing to the covers, edges and corners - check out all the pictures.
