Autel AL329 Automotive Code Reader: Patented One-Touch I/M Readiness Check!
This feature can be used by automotive technicians as a convenient readiness testing tool to determine if the vehicle being tested is ready for emissions testing. With the Autel AL329's visual and audible indications, you will know the vehicle's emissions readiness without having to drive endlessly, constantly returning to the store for retests to check that all tests required by the ECU have been completed. You can also perform a quick check of the vehicle to determine if it is ready for emissions testing without having to connect the vehicle to an analyzer or use complex scan tools.
As a pre-test diagnostic tool
Use this function to check readiness before checking if your vehicle meets national emission standards.
(1) Once the scan tool is connected to the vehicle, select "Ready to Test" in the main screen. If your vehicle is ready for the state emissions test, drive the vehicle until the scan tool signals you that it is safe with a colored led and sound.
(2) If you hear a green LED and two long beeps, your vehicle is ready and should pass the emissions test.
(3) If the red light comes on, your vehicle is not ready and must be serviced before the emissions test can be performed.
LED and Tone Interpretation
OK - indicates that the particular monitor being checked has completed its diagnostic test; INC - indicates that the particular monitor being checked has not completed its diagnostic test; N/A - the monitor does not support the vehicle.
Autel Autolink AL329: dtc definition on screen
The Autel AL329 supports a read code function that can be executed with key on, engine off (KOEO) or key on, engine running (KOER). If any errors are found, the Al329 allows you to view the dtc and its definition on the screen.
READING CODES.
Supports multiple fault code requests:generic, pending and manufacturer specific codes. Match the retrieved DTC(S) with the DTC(S) listed in the manual and read the definitions, more than 8000 DTC definitions can be found in the official website
Delete Codes.
1. Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes not only allows the scan tool to delete codes from the on-board computer, but also deletes "freeze frame" data and manufacturer-specific enhanced data. This feature retrieves the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), Calibration Identification Number (CIN), Calibration Verification Number (CVN), and in-service performance tracking for Mode 9-enabled vehicles 2000 and older.
The automated VIN program allows you to determine if the vehicle or vehicles being tested have been serviced. In addition, this feature helps you retrieve the history of the vehicle. You can keep yourself up-to-date with the help of this excellent feature.
Note: Please note that the AutoVIN feature is not universally available for all vehicles.
