A beautiful vintage silver-plated tableware set consisting of a tea kettle / coffee pot, sugar bowl and a creamer. The set was produced in a Danish silversmith workshop - Carl M Cohr (1860-1925). His factory in Fredericia made some of the best silverware in Denmark. After his death in 1925 Kaj Lützen took over as administrative director with Carl Cohr's son Einar. The factory closed in 1987.

Dimensions:
Coffee pot - width 22 cm x 14 cm, height 23.5 cm with lid. On the base it has "stamp" - Danmark K M and number 72. Can hold approx. 1.2 litres of liquid. The kettle might need special cleaning for silverware as it has "staining" from time.
Sugar bowl - width 15 cm x 10 cm, height 5.5 cm. On the base in has "stamp" M, DA and torch.
Creamer - width 13 cm x 8 cm, height 5.5 cm. On the base it has "stamp" Danmark, M and torch.
Total weight of the set is 712g.

The set has different marks on the bottom:
Letter M - maker's mark Carl M Cohr
DA mark - a mark often on Danish silver is the "Thor's hammer". This mark is the sign of private Danish Trade Promotion Association "Landsforeningen Dansk Arbejde" (Promotions signification: "Quality Product - Made in Denmark" and "Buy Danish Quality Products").
Torch mark - Quality mark for silver plated. Used by the "Organisation of Silver plate Manufactures" ("Foreningen af Sølvpletfabrikanter") after they took over the rights to the torch mark from FDG about 1932.
