This is a Stunning and Unusual piece of Silver and Gemstone Jewellery which was originally came from Poland. Made from Oxidised Solid Sterling Silver in what I would call a Brutalist Swirl design it features an Oval Cabochon of Honey Amber to the centre. It has a Secure Rollover Clasp at the back so it can be used as a Brooch but there is also a Bail at the top so it could be put on a Chain and used as a Pendant. It is Hallmarked on the Bail with 925 for the Silver Purity, an unknown Maker's Mark and the Woman with Kerchief Mark for Polish Silver. Having been Imported into the UK it has then been Fully Hallmarked on the pin as photographed with SAO for the Sheffield Assay Office along with their Import Mark, 925 for the Silver Purity and it has been electronically tested at a precious metal refinery to confirm the Silver Content. It weighs 9.1g, measures 43mm long x 27mm wide while the Amber measures 20mm long x 17mm wide. It is in a lightly used and very good condition with no damage and just very minor surface wear while the fastener works perfectly. Please note the line down the piece of Amber is not damage but is a natural flaw in the Stone so I don't believe it detracts.
