Peruvian Vegetable Tanned
Calfskin
Wallet also features an ostrich
leather detail strip.
Peruvian Vegetable Tanned Calfskin Leather has long been
recognized for its beauty, depth and resilience to wear. The tanning process
takes several weeks in which the leather is hand rubbed to bring out its own unique
character.
The leather is then bench cut and the pieces are assembled
by hand. Our wallets are sewn using the same tradition and care in
craftsmanship as they were a hundred years ago. The only difference today is
that the thread used is a polyester marine grade industrial thread.
Absolutely the highest quality available in these
modern times. This wallet is truly a one of the kind, piece. Guaranteed to
serve its owner well for many years.
A Brief History of Tobin
Marcus
"Luxury is attained when one employs the highest standards without
compromising on cost, quality or aesthetics.”
For years, the name Tobin Marcus has been inextricably
linked to fine leather gloves and accessories. The original workshop was founded
in Munich. The heart of the German Garment District. His philosophy was to use
only the finest materials and to employ the greatest care in craftsmanship.
That same tradition continues to this day...
Each wallet is hand crafted taking an experienced Artisan
over 6 hours to create. The tanning process involves hand rubbing the leather
for weeks in order to bring out the grain, depth and character of each piece.
