Ensure you make a small schematic (or take a picture) of how your black switch is currently installed so that you can reconnect the wire to the proper lug on this new switch.

On some Shopvac models they do not even list the switch as a separate item you can purchase! As an example of not listing it as a separate part see #12 in picture. You cannot simply purchase the switch because there is no part number assigned, they want you to buy the entire $80.00 motor assembly!! How short-sighted is that???
