A  fine settee attributed to John Henry Belter, NY with  several layers (at least 7) of exotic rosewood to make this a special piece of Victorian furniture. Actually, very comfortable. The size: 68" long by 39" high by 30" deep. The cushion is about 20" deep and the height from the floor to the cushion is 15".The springs need to be tighten and the lining has been torn off from underneath as shown.  Small repair to one front foot. The patina is good with some surface wear. The fabric is old, but is from the 20th c. and not of the period.  Shows fading.
