De luchtvaartgeschiedenis zien we daarbij echter niet over het hoofd. Het is een feit dat de luchtvaartverlichting in België ver ten achter staat bij de andere landen. Velen kijken bij ons nog sceptisch naar die« gevaarlijke» vliegmachine... hetgeen diezelfde mensen niet weerhoudt auto te rijden, het werd nochtans bewezen dat veel meer personen per jaar het leven laten op de baan dan bij vliegongelukken.
