MILITARY APPOINTMENT SIGNED BY QUEEN VICTORIA - 12 DECEMBER 1891 

Signed at upper left corner as Queen of the United Kingdom and Empress of India in brown ink, with wafer embossed seal. Docketed on verso. 
The Queen commands the appointment of Herbert Ellicombe Molesworth, Gentleman as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Land Forces.
Given at Our Court at St James's dated 12 December, 1891. 
As Major, Royal Garrison Artillery Molesworth was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (DSO) in 1917.

Condition: Heavy vertical folds, clear of signature,  top edging frayed, overall good condition.
