AS PER THE TITLE AND THE PHOTOS - THIS IS A GRANT OF ARMS BOX WITH THE SEALS; THERE IS NO DOCUMENT. IT IS EMPTY.

The seals are for Ralph Bigland and Isaac Heard. Isaac Heard was Garter Principal King of Arms; in this capacity he oversaw the arrangements for the funerals of many notable figures including the Royal Family and Lord Nelson.

Fair condition with surface wear commensurate with age and use. The box is leather over wood and papered inside; there are a few holes in the leather and there is wear and rubbing. It is an antique - it is delicate and not perfect. The toleware metal tins are fabulous; there is some enamelled paint loss and there are little slivers of metal actually on the surface of one of the seals. The spine of the box is good and strong and the clasps are good; some wear to the metal clasps. One seal for Ralph Bigland is a little indistict and difficult to read. The ribbon on one seal box is completely detached; the other bits of ribbon on the other box are very delicate and hanging on by a wisp. See photos.
