Superb Pair of Napoleon III French Empire Gilt Candelabra 

with Period Cut Glass Crystal Prisms

French, Circa 1848-1870

Each having a cylindrical stem and issuing the five foliate scroll candle arms, surmounted by a central candle arm, raised on a tripod base with lion’s heads ending in griffin paw feet, hung with 70 period cut glass crystal prisms throughout. 

Discrete bobeche and drip cups. Elaborate castings and surface foliate ornamentation throughout.

Condition: Very Good Antique Condition. Some surface oxidation and old repair on (1) central candle arm (see last photo). Prisms excellent (missing two).
