Cairo Ware Brass Silver & Copper Inlaid Sphinx Inkwell

This is a Cairo ware inkwell in the form of a sphinx, inlaid with silver & copper & further incised, circa 1900.   

CONDITION dented to the base plate - as per images

The overall condition is as you would expect from an object of substantial age that has been displayed/handled/used, usually over the lifetimes of several owners.
