A beautiful traditional Victorian gift for the Bride to be.  Comprising of a genuine minted King George VI silver sixpence in a handcrafted gift box tied with a blue satin ribbon and presented in a natural rustic hessian pouch.  Includes the traditional 18th century bridal poem 'Something Old Something New Something Borrowed Something Blue and a Silver Sixpence in her Shoe'.  The sixpence is placed in the bride's left shoe on her wedding day, a custom dating back to the 1800's.  It is said to gurantee the couple health, fertility, happiness and wedded bliss.  The Bridal Poem can be personalised with the bride and grooms names and wedding date if required.  Please supply these details at time of order.

Included with this item is a beautiful hand-worked 16 inch solid bronze tiny vintage key necklace. The key is double-sided and has a fine faceted crub chain with lobster clasp fastening and 3cm chain extension.  It is presented in its own little gift box in an organza pouch, ready for give to the bride. Traditionally the key sybolizes love and destiny.  It also represents the key to the heart of a loved one.

PLEASE NOTE: The sixpences I currently have in stock are King George VI, minted between 1947 and 1951. These are coins which were in general circulation in England 70 years ago so are considered vintage and have the potential to increase in value.  The sixpence will be cleaned and shined.

Necklace: 16 inches (40cm) with 3cm chain extension

Key: 2.9cm x 1.0cm

I can customize the necklace to any length required, no extra charge for this service.
