So about the ikat fabric from Margilan
Always interesting ornaments, lively saturated colors - this can boast of magnificent, amazing ikat. A small drawing plays the most important role of a talisman. Here are depicted amulets - "tumorcha", combs - "tarog", snake tracks - "ilon izi", lamps - "chirog", plant ornaments - symbols dating back to zoroastrianism and designed to protect the owner from the hardships of life. The secret of ikat lies in a special method of step-by-step coloring of bundles of threads in certain colors. This is the most complex weaving technology, performed exclusively by hand.Hand-made ikat fabric is very easy to distinguish, it always has a white zigzag stripe that repeats every 2-2.2 meters. This is the strip on which the weaver aligns the ikat pattern. Most often, a combination of silk and cotton thread is used for the production of ikat, or only cotton. Depending on which threads are used, different types of fabric are obtained. For example, adras, shoyi, khan-atlas, bakhmal fabric and many others.

Please note:
1) The base fabric is completely hand-woven and dyed with vegetable dyes, there may be slight inaccuracies in the weave of the threads and the color of the fabric.
2) Item color shades may be darker or lighter from the shown images.
