This auction is for an Official Factory Reprint (for Maranello Concessionaires, UK) of the Spare Parts book, with all the relevant exploded diagrams for the 275GTB and 275GTS models of 1964 onwards, including updates for the cars of 1966.

The Ferrari 275 range of cars began with the GTB and GTS models which debuted at the 1964 Paris Motor Show and were built through until 1966. Although the cars shared the 275cc per cylinder, V12 (3.3 litre engine) they were distinctly different; rather than, with much later cars, where the GTS was a direct convertible version of the Berlinetta.

The 275 GTB was the much more aggressive of the two, both in appearance and with a slightly more powerful engine. The bodywork, designed by Pininfarina and built by Scaglietti, featured hints back to the shape and curves of the legendary 250 GTO.

In 1965 it was also given a revamp with a longer slimmer front end, a flatter bonnet and simpler 10-hole alloy wheels replacing the original ‘starburst’ design. The variants are now commonly referred to as 275GTB "short nose" or "long nose" models.

The 275GTS, both designed and built by Pininfarina, came with a 260 horse power engine; just 20 less than the GTB as, due to the target clients, outright power was sacrificed in favour of torque and flexibility. The GTS was also fitted with wire wheels as standard to enhance the more refined, elegant appearance.

Total factory production is recorded as 456 and 200, respectively, including a small number of GTB/C ‘Competizione’ cars, commissioned by clients for racing, with full aluminium bodywork and racing suspension.

The parts book, measuring 24cm x 16cm, covers all the mechanicals from engine to carburettors, gearbox to ignition, and all the suspension, steering, brakes and much more. All of the main text is in Italian only, but the brief introduction and index of the diagram pages is additionally in French and English.

Following the introductory section there are 32 numbered pages of diagrams, with each diagram accompanied by an information page (or sometimes two) of the part numbers and, where applicable, technical sizes/measurements.

There then follow two shorter sections, of 17 (for all cars) and 11 (for Right hand Drive cars) pages respectively, dealing with the technical specification changes. Both these sections are dated 31-12-1965, and there is a total of 110 inner pages.

The factory catalogue number, originally on the final inner rear page as N. 10/63 (which was generally thought to be a misprint of 10/66) has been removed from this copy.

The printing process has also been changed, with the single sheets of paper having been stapled together and bound with a black plastic slide clip, and the rear cover confirms the status as 'Reprinted for Maranello Concessionaires Ltd' - the Official Ferrari Concessionaire in the UK.

The usage of 'for' rather than 'by' would indicate that this is a factory reprint rather than a UK Marpart copy, and I have priced it as such.

This is certainly a good print, and in good condition with only some light scuffing and marking to the covers, edges and corners  - specifically, one crease to the lower rear outer corner.
