Franz von Bayros (* 28. Mai 1866 in Zagreb; † 2. April 1924 in Wien) war ein österreichischer Graphiker, Illustrator und Maler. Er ist bekannt für seine oft etwas perversen, aber dennoch ästhetischen Illustrationen zu den Klassikern der erotischen Literatur.

Zum Verkauf steht eine seltene erotische Aquatinta-Radierung von Franz von Bayros.

Dekoratives Blatt aus der Serie "Die Bonbonniere - galante und artige Sammlung erotischer Phantasien" (Wien: C.W. Stern, 1907), von der nur 530 Exemplare gedruckt wurden. 

Die vorliegende Radierung ist betitelt als "Die Nashornjägerin", der dazugehörige Text und Titel der Originalausgabe liegen bei. 

Plattengröße: ca. 25 x 22 cm / Blatt: ca. 35 x 30 cm

Zustand:
- Körper der "Jägerin" leicht in grau ankoloriert
- sehr gut erhalten

Rare print from the series "Die Bonbonniere"

Franz von Bayros (May 28, 1866 – April 3, 1924) was an Austrian commercial artist, illustrator, and painter best known for his illustrations of erotic literature. Von Bayros belonged to the Decadent movement in art, often relying on erotic themes and phantasmagoric imagery. He was an artist of the Fin de Siecle who will stay remembered for his delicate and perverse representations of sexual fantasies. He illustrated numerous books and designed manifold book plates especially for the wealthy Vienna and Munich society.

For sale is a rare erotic aquatint etching by Franz von Bayros.
From the series "Die Bonbonniere - galante und artige Sammlung erotischer Phantasien" (Vienna: C.W. Stern, 1907) of which only 530 exemplars have been printed. 

The print is titled 'Die Nashornjägerin' (the rhinoceros hunter). The German text and title of the original edition are part of this offer.
