Here is a view of Pont-y-Garth, the bridge over the River Dysynni near Bird Rock. The road from the bridge meets the road from Bryncrug right under Bird Rock. Coed Ysgubor Wen (White Barn Wood) is close to Pont-y-Garth. It is a Coed Cadw (Woodland Trust Wales) woodland which is part of the Plant scheme which aims to plant a tree for each child born in Wales (pant means child). It lies in Eryry (Snowdonia) National Park close to Cadair Idris. The wood extendes to 105 acres.

About the artist

J. Allen (fl 1940's)

I acquired a collection of works by J. Allen which featured scenes all over UK. He was certainly a competent watercolourist with a free style. I am sorry, more than that I know not.

 

PRICE / BEST OFFER: £39.99 - Shipping for this item is £65.26 including insurance but there is still no guarntee on the glass. Collection in perso would be by far the best option. I drove 180 miles to collect the 5 Harry Clow picutres which I bought. I think this picture are worth at least £39.99, but as usual, if you do not agree with my estimation of value, please make an offer.

Usually, If I buy a framed picture at auction, I would expect to have to pay around £50 to someone like Mail Boxes Etc for shipping, but that includes collection, packing and shipping.
Frequently the cost of shipping is nearly as much as the picture itself, but does include a margin for commercial profit.
I do not aim to make a profit on the shipping costs.
