About the Stamp:
This stamp shows the natural beauty of the Dominican Republic, depicted in water color. The background image is the Bahia de las Águilas, seen from the distance. In the foreground, on the left, the bird that represents the country, Cigua Palmera, on the bird’s right, the rose of Bayahibe, the national flower. On the upper right are Brazil’s and Dominican Republic’s flags, reinforcing diplomatic relations between the two countries. Techniques used were traditional watercolor, white gel pen and ink on paper, vector illustration and computer graphics.
