Moina is water flea, classified as a small invertebrate species of crustacean or called Crustacean with scientific name Moina macrocopa, a type of zooplankton which measures 0.4-1.8 mm. The female red mite is larger than the male with a fleshy almost round body with an average size of 1.3 mm. The average size is 0.5 mm, and the larvae that come out of the egg sac of the new mother are 0.22-0.35 mm in size. In optimal environmental conditions, red mites have a male population of 5% and females 95%, which is considered to be much higher than that of males.

GUIDE TO HATCHING AND RAISING MOINA 1.Prepare the equipment, including small tank and air pumps. 

2. Pour water into the small tank. The temperature and pH of the water should be between 77-90°F (25-32°C) and pH 6.0-9.0, respectively

 3.Open the capsule carefully and sprinkle the eggs into a tank of water. The eggs will hatch within 3-10 days. 

4.After the eggs hatch, use the air pumps to add oxygen to the water. 

5.Feed the Moina with various types of bacteria, yeast, and Chlorella sp., 1-2 times per day. 

GUIDE TO FEEDING FISH 

1.First-day hatching the moina is suitable for 10 days old fry or above. 

2.Feed only one time daily The Moina can survive without food for 3-10 days in a fish tank.
