QED Silver Anniversary XT speaker cable on offer is unterminated, supplied as a single length.
Designed with performance in mind, QED Silver Anniversary-XT speaker cable boasts all of the characteristics associated with Silver Anniversary, but with the added enhancement of the Aircore™ technology found in the most prestigious QED X-Tube cables. The precise cylindrical construction of the silver-plated, 99.999% pure, oxygen free copper cables reduces the distortion caused by ‘skin effect’.
The result is a completely neutral speaker cable that will allow your hi-fi or home cinema system to perform at its best. The cable is a standard ‘figure 8’ configuration and is attractively finished, with each silver-plated core visible through a flexible 3.9mm diameter clear polyethylene outer sheath.
Cable is supplied as a single length, unterminated - please enter quantity you wish to order in multiples of 3 metres. For example, if you want 3 metres QED Silver Anniversary XT cable, then enter 1 in the quantity box, or for 6m cable (supplied as a single length), order quantity 2.
You will receive a single length of cable without connectors. We are also happy to supply cable fitted with spade terminals and/or banana plugs such as Airloc Forte banana plugs (additional charges apply).

X-TUBE TECHNOLOGY™
At low frequencies both X-TubeTM and conventional stranded/solid core speaker cables convey signals in a linear way. However, at high frequencies, X-TubeTM retains a near-linear signal transfer, whereas the conventional cable fails to conduct uniformly across the entire conductor area. The result is that X-TubeTM delivers greater fidelity across the audio spectrum which would other wise be lost in ordinary cables.
AIRCORE TECHNOLOGY™
QED cables above 2.5mm2 cross sectional area utilise Aircore technology to obviate the skin effect by bundling several separately insulated smaller cores together to make up a larger CSA. If these conductors are arranged around a hollow central core of polyethylene the self inductance exhibited by the cable can be reduced to around half that predicted by calculation.
Optional TERMINATION with Banana Plugs
Designed to fit 4mm amplifier and speaker sockets found on most high-end audio separates, these 4mm plugs are constructed from a silver-plated metal connector and cable termination is via a twin screw fixing for easy assembly. Gold-plated twin-screw banana plugs also available. The heavy duty plug barrel houses two large grub screws to ensure a consistently high level of performance and connectivity.
Optional AIRLOC TERMINATION
Brand new AIRLOC Forte plugs with improved pin section can be fitted to order for an additional charge, designed to maximise contact area throughout the wide tolerance range found in 4mm amplifier and speaker sockets. This means that the connection remains uniformly tight and with its premium gold-plating, provides optimum sonic performance through time.
