Vintage Cast Iron Art Nouveau Woman In A Shell Fountain 18.5” Relief Oval Plaque PEN QUAN

This vintage cast iron relief wall plaque features a lovely woman draped in cloth holding a large ewer, she is pouring its contents over a seal balancing a ball on its nose, They both standing in a coin shell fountain, the words PEN QUAN is written below. The background of the plaque has a dimpled effect. It measures 18 1/2" tall and 8 1/2" wide and is approximately 1" thick. It weighs a heavy 7 lbs 8.6oz. There is a hole on the back to aid in hanging.

It is in vintage condition with many rust spots. It looks to have been painted a white or gray color but the patina of the rust is coming through, there is a large spot on her breast and one around her eye. Free from breaks.
