ITEM: Lot of 2 Cassette Tapes:

SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER (Double Cassette*) 1977 STAYING ALIVE1983 CASSETTES RS424001 RXS413102 TESTED!

COMMENTS: For HIS hot rod deck on Show Shine day or for HER to teach you to dance...  of course you can dance but just go with it... Trust me

This item has been INSPECTED and TESTED for playability. (Sellers who don't indicate they've tested their items probably don't.) This/these tapes have been tested as follows:

1.We fast forward and rewind our tapes from beginning to end to loosen the tape and check it's carriage system.

2. We partially play the tapes on each side to check fidelity.

3. We inspect the cassette and its case. If a case is cracked we may replace it with a similar case. For highly collectable tapes we will send you both cases.

Note: Because magnetic tapes are victim to moisture, humidity, magnetism and faulty machine transport mechanisms audio tapes cannot be guaranteed.

Tape Tips:
  • A Word To the Wise: Keep your transport clean & demagnetized. Tapes and  tape machines operate differently. Weak motors, stretched belts and sticky transport rollers will fail at any moment particularly old ones. Be extra careful when playing thinner tapes like *double length cassettes. They may drag the pitch out of tune and/or eat the tape. For these reasons audio tapes cannot be guaranteed.
  • Causes of "dragging" or slurred music include old motor belts and/or motors, dirty tape transports (pinch rollers & capstans etc), and tapes that are wound too tight or "off center" inside the cartridge. If your player drags or eats tapes;
        1. Clean the transport system in your machine and demagnetize the tape heads.
        2. Fast forward and rewind the entire tape to loosen the tape and center it inside it's cartridge.
        3. In rare situations (such as being left in a hot car) the tape housing may be warped. In that case the tape itself                must be removed and inserted into a new housing.
        4. If issues prevail have your machine repaired or replaced.
  • Never set an audio tape near a speaker, amplifier or else that is magnetic. Stray magnetism can erase frequencies and in extreme cases, everything.

  • Never trust an old un-serviced machine. Bad things will happen to your tape.
