Association copy of this relatively uncommon, self published book on the American Gears by Dick Triptow (1922-2015) former NBL and NBA player for the Gears, Zollner Pistons, and Baltimore Bullets. Triptow played alongside George Mikan, winning a championship with the Gears in 1947.
This copy warmly inscribed to former Utah Jazz star, Matt Harpring. The letter, dated in 2000, discusses Triptow's thoughts on the current NBA game and Harpring's injury during the 1999-2000 season which caused him to miss all but 4 games with the Orlando Magic. .
